The beautiful sandy beach is reached through a little pine forest.
Apart from the walks to the Sopot pier (about 40 mins) and the Brzezno pier
(about 30 mins) Jelitkowo offers a lot of entertainment for children and sport lovers,
such as water slides, jumping castles, mini golf, surfing club or tennis
courts and the covered swimming pool in a nearby hotel. Along the beach there are two paths -
for walking and cycling. A 20 mins walk takes you to a charming Fishermen's Square, with its famous restaurant
Bar Przystan which serves a range of fresh and smoked seafood, as well as to other restaurants and inns.
In the summer the Tricity offers the tourists - apart from centuries old historical monuments,
and the museum devoted to the Birth of Solidarity (Roads to Freedom) - such seasonal attractions as
boat trips to beautiful Hel Peninsula, the famous Dominician Fair, the Open Air Opera in Sopot, the A.
Osiecka Atelier Theatre at the beach in Sopot (specializing in Jewish repertory), the Gombrowicz Theatre at the
beach in Orlowo, the Open Air Theatre in Wrzeszcz (try to pronounce that!!!), sailing boat races, horse races at the
Sopot Hippodrome, Aquapark, numerous cultural events and sports in Ergo Arena (10 min walk) and many, many others.
